The Howard Greeley County Food Pantry was founded by Pastor Roger Dale Victoria back in 1990 in St. Paul, Nebraska. Food distribution was by appointment only until about 10 years ago when the need became greater. An advisory committee was formed. Through this committee, the pantry was able to set normal hours staffed by volunteers from each of the surrounding churches. The pantry has had several homes during its lifetime, but in 2018 through donations and grants, a permanent home was built. Besides housing the pantry, the building includes a small kitchenette where we have plans to work with the Extension office to host cooking classes for our youth.
