Doniphan Veteran's Memorial Park

About the Organization

The memorial wall was built and dedicated on Veteran's Day in 2007. What started as a conversation with a local veteran became reality when 5 senior Girl Scouts from Doniphan needed a project for their Gold Award. After lots of planning, required badge work, project approval and fundraising the Doniphan Veterans Memorial Park became a reality. It consists of the memorial wall with bricks purchased for loved ones containing names and military dates and ranks. The park includes a large flag pole with lights that illuminate it at night. It has an additional 8 flag poles that fly flags of all different branches during special times of the year. There is also two benches and two berms of flowers and trees.
